Waterfall 1972 is an underrated album that is rare to find. The album was written by Corry Knobel, a young guitarist from the popular Swiss band The Night Birds, who wanted to express his musical ideas. The album was recorded with like-minded musicians and was sent to record companies. An Italian label, Koala Productions, agreed to release the album, but the musicians did not read the fine print in the contract. As a result, Knobel became the owner of 500 copies of the album and faced a lawsuit for a considerable sum of money. The album was mostly destroyed by customs officials when Knobel tried to transport it to Switzerland. Despite this setback, Knobel became a famous sound engineer in Europe. The album features five tracks and includes personnel such as Corry Knobel on guitars, bass, and vocals, Eliano Galbiati on drums and percussion, Cesco Anselmo on piano, and Oscar Bozzetti on piano.
